Ryan: Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2018 Dodge Durango, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the CIPA 00:02:55 Universal Fit Towing Mirror, which is also sold as a set.Whenever we use a towing mirror, it's really going to help expand our field of view. That can really be useful whenever we're, maybe making a lane change, backing up into a tight parking spot, or maybe just wanting to keep a closer eye on what's happening behind us. So to give an example on how much more ground, we're going to be able to cover, as you can see, I'm visible in our tow mirror, but not in our factory mirror. However, if I take a few steps closer to our trailer, I'll disappear out of that towing mirror and become visible in our factory mirror. That's really going to help eliminate any of those blind spots as well.One of the big questions we get asked all the time in regards to universal fit towing mirrors is, if you're going to have any noise or vibrations, especially at higher speeds. more

Or you can get it in a pair, under part number KS3891-2.This is the normal view you have with just your factory side mirror. As I take a couple of steps out, you're gonna see the additional view you get while you have your towing mirror installed. This is going to help you with changing lanes, passing, backing up, and parking. When I walk back towards the trailer, you're gonna see you have no blind spot. more

Today on our 2016 Dodge Durango, we'll be taking a look at and showing you how to install the K Source Universal Towing Mirrors, part number KS3891. Here we're at the rear of our trailer. As you can see, we have a perfect view all the way to the back in our factory mirror, though if I step out to the side, we lose that in our factory mirror but gain it in our towing mirror. This is gonna be great whenever we're driving on the highway and trying to pass vehicles or trying to park or trailer. It's fully adjustable up and down and side to side. If we remove the screw on the back, we can remove our mirror and rotate it the opposite way to change our field of view. The mirror is secured by our clamps that fit under our plastic housing and in between our mirrors. more

Today on our 2016 Dodge Durango, we'll be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Cipa towing mirror, part number 7070. Here at the back of our trailer, you can see in our factory mirror we have perfect visibility to the back but if I step out to the side, we lose that visibility in our factory mirror but gain it in our towing mirror. This is going to help when driving on the highway when we're trying to pass in a lane, or when we're trying to park our trailer. It's going to be fully adjustable so we can change our field of view. The towing mirror does have the option to rotate to change your field of view and widen it just a bit more. The clips on the front of our towing mirror are going to fit between the housing and our factory mirror and will still allow us to move our factory mirror. more

Today on our 2017 Dodge Durango, we'll be taking a look at the dual view clip on towing mirror, part number 11953. Here we've hooked up to our trailer and we have our towing mirror installed. At the back, in our factory mirror, we're going to have a perfect view to the rear of our trailer. If I step out to the side, we're going to lose that visibility in our factory mirror, but gain it in our towing mirror in that first larger portion. This is going to be great whenever we are trying to pass vehicles on the highway, or whenever we're trying to park our trailer. Now if I step out even further, we're going to gain even more visibility on that far edge of our dual view mirror. more

Today on our 2017 Dodge Durango we'll be taking a look at the CIPA Universal Clamp-on Towing Mirror, part number CM11980. Now, I've gone ahead and backed up to our trailer, and we have our towing mirror installed. In our factory mirror, we have a perfect view to the back of our trailer, but if I step out to the side, we're gonna lose that visibility in our factory mirror, but gain it in our towing mirror. What's great about this is it's going to be helpful whenever we're trying to pass vehicles on the highway, or whenever we're trying to park our trailer. Our towing mirror is fully adjustable. We can rotate it to widen our field of view. Our towing mirror secures in place with the clamps and the rubber pads. more

With our factory mirror we can see perfectly to the back of our trailer, though if I step out to the side just a bit we're going to lose that visibility in our factory mirror but gain it in our towing mirror. This is going to be great whenever we're trying to pass vehicles on the highway, or pull in and out of a parking spot. Our clip-on towing mirror is fully adjustable to change our field of view. It's going to have four tabs at the front, and two straps on the back to hold it into place, and they won't interfere with your factory mirror so you can still change it and move it how you need to. The two straps on the back are going to have rubber coating to prevent any scratches or abrasions to the back of your factory mirror. With our clip-on towing mirror still installed we can fold in our factory mirror to get into those tight spaces. more

Cipa Custom Towing Mirror Review - 10501- Video
Today we are going to show you part number 10501 from Cipa. This is Cipas Custom Towing Mirror. These mirrors are custom made for each individual vehicle. In this instance, we actually use a Dodge Durango for our test fit. This mirror extension sits up on the factory mirror. It slides onto the factory mirror just about right here. And what keeps it in place is this wedge, which gets installed between the factory mirror and the extension mirror, right here. Now I will clamp this into place. And what actually tightens everything down is this knob, which goes on the back side of the mirror. It gets screwed in there and applies pressure to the back of the wedge, which in turn clamps the mirror to the factory mirror. more
